If the price of a watch is increased by 15%, the increase in the price is rupees 90.What was the price earlier?

From the question it is clear that
15% of the price = 90
So early price = 100% =  \frac{90 \times 100 }{15} = 600 rupees

x+90=x+15x/100
90=15x/100
x=90*100/15
=6*100=Rs 600
