64-72+a=0
-8+a=0

now when we compare this polynomial with the general form of quadratic polynomial that is

 {px}^{2}  + qx + r

we get the product of roots with using formula that

  \alpha . \beta  =  \:  \frac{r}{p}

we can easily get the value of a as shown in attachment.
