And. for equal roots Descrimnant must be =0

D = √{ 36-8k }

Squaring both sides

k<or equal to 9/2

2).

D = √ { 36 - 8k }

0 = √ { 36-8k}

Squaring both sides

36 = 8k

k = 9/2
