{Let's tale electovalency of Al as X; X + (-3) = 0, as AlCl3 is a compound and should have net charge zero 》X= +3}

● Electovalency of Mg in MgCl2 is +2

{Let's take electovalency of Mg be Y; Y + (-2) = 0 》Y = +2}

So Z = 3 + 2 = +5

Hence Z/4 = +5/4
