The resistance of a resistor X is x=15\ \Omega.

Equivalent resistance of lower half , R_1=25\  \Omega+75\ \Omega=100\ \Omega.

Also, equivalent resistance of upper half, R_2=10 \ \Omega + x\ \Omega=(10+x)\ \Omega

Now, R_1 \ and \ R_2 are in parallel.

Therefore, \dfrac{1}{R_{eq}}=\dfrac{1}{R_1}+\dfrac{1}{R_2}\\\\\dfrac{1}{R_{eq}}=\dfrac{1}{100}+\dfrac{1}{10+x}\\\\R_{eq}=\dfrac{100(10+x)}{110+x}    ...equation 1.

Also, equivalent resistance =20\ \Omega.

Putting value of R_{eq}=20\ \Omega   in equation 1 .

We get,

x=15\ \Omega.

Hence, this is the required solution.
