Given info : if the volume of a given mass of a gas at STP is 52 cubic metre and Temperature remains constant.

To find : the volume of gas at the pressure of 104 cm Hg is ...

solution : initial volume, V₁ = 52 m³

initial pressure, P₁ = 76 cm Hg [ for STP ]

final volume, V₂ = ?

final pressure , P₂ = 104 cm Hg

for isothermal process (temperature remains constant),

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

⇒52 m³ × 76 cm Hg = V₂ × 104 cm Hg

⇒V₂ = 38 m³

Therefore the volume of gas at the pressure of 104 cm Hg is 38 m³.

\huge\mathfrak{Answer}

Given :-

☆volume of given mass of a gas at STP is 52 cubic metre what will be its volume at the pressure of 104 CM of HG temperature remaining constant

Solution :-

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

(100)(52) = (138.32)(V₂)

5200 = 138.32V₂

5200/138.32 = V₂

37.5 = V₂

The volume of the gas decreases is 37.5 m³.
