If the work done by a force in moving an object through a distance of 20 cm is 24.2 J ,what is the magnitude of the force ..

W = F s
Here, W = Work
F = Force
s = displacement

So F = W/s

Given,
W = 24.2J
s = 20cm (0.2m)

Then,
F = 24.2 / 0.2
therefore F = 121 N

We know that Work = Force * Distance

F = Work/Distance

   = 24.2/20 * 10^-2

   = 121 N.
