Given:

Total number of people=40

To find:

The number of people who know both Oracle and Java

Solution:

The number of people who know both Oracle and Java is 20.

We can find the number by following the given steps-

We know that the total number of people is 40.

Out of these, 7 people do not know any language.

So, the number of people who know at least one language=40-7=33

Now, we are given that the number of people who know Oracle is 25 and the number of people who know Java is 28.

Let the number of people who know both Oracle and Java be X.

We know that the number of people who know at least one language=number of people who know Oracle+number of people who know Java-number of people who know both

On putting the values, we get

33=25+28-X

33=53-X

X=53-33

X=20

Therefore, the number of people who know both Oracle and Java is 20.
