if there are two bowls one is fiiled with hot water and the other with cold water.The ice will melt quickly on cold water.
But boiling point is always greater than melting point so here, how melting point is greater than boiling point?

The actual boiling or melting point for any substance depends on the external pressure. A higher pressure will usually raise the boiling point, and, to some extent, the melting point. If the pressure is high enough, it is impossible to distinguish the liquid phase from the gas phase.
