Given : ΔABC ~ ΔPQR  , h1 and h2 are the heights of triangle ABC and PQR respectively.   AB : PQ = 4:9 and h2 = 13.5cm

To find : value of h1

Solution:

in Similar triangle ratio of corresponding sides = ratio of corresponding height

ΔABC ~ ΔPQR

=> AB / PQ  = h1 / h2

AB/PQ = 4/9

h2 = 13.5 cm

=> 4/9  = h1/ 13.5

=> 4 * 13.5 / 9  = h1

=> 54 / 9 = h1

=> 6 = h1

=>  h1 = 6 cm

value of h1 is  6 cm
