Answer:

if  x is the angle, its complement will be (90-x),

because they have to add up to 90, and here x + (90 -x) = 90

here in the question, x is equal to 4 times of its complement, so we have

x = 4 * (90 - x) --> x = 360 - 4x --> 5x = 360 --> x = 360/5  --> x = 72

Answer:

The two angles are complementary angles, hence their sum is 90 degrees.

The one angle is 4 times its complement. (given)

Then, if the complementary angle is x, then the other angle will be 4x.

Thus, we have

x + 4x = 90

5x = 90

x = 18

4x = 72

Thus, the measures of two angles are 18 and 72.
