=>x+1= 8x

=> -7x= -1

=> x= 1/7

we have to find out the value of x^2+1/x^2

Here we use a^2+b^2 formula,

i;e (a+b)^2 - 2.a.b

(x^2+1^2)/x^2

= {(x+1)^2 - 2.x.1}/x^2

={(1/7+1)^2 - 2.1/7.1}/(1/7)^2

={64/49 -2/7}/1/49

= 50/49 × 49

= 50
