If x+5=7, then 2x-3=?

Mark129: To solve This we have to find the value of x Which is 2 in this case As x+5=7 this give x=7-5 so x=2 and now we have to find 2x-3 this give 2×2-3 = 1

The value of 2x-3 is 1.

Given:

x+5=7

To Find:

2x-3

Solution:

To find the value of 2x-3, we will follow the following steps:

As we know,

x+5=7

Now,

We will find the value of x and then find the value of the equation 2x-3.

So,

x + 5 = 7

x = 7 - 5 = 2

Now,

On putting the value of x we get,

2x - 3 = 2 \times 2 - 3 = 4 - 3 = 1

Henceforth, the value of 2x-3 is 1.
