5 is answer .

Because 5 = 5^3

It means that 5 = 125 (its unit digit is same )

And

5^2=25 or

5^3= 125 ( its unit digit is also same )

So that its correct answer is 5

For a single digit number A  

it's cube  is equal to it's number itself  

if A ={1,-1,0}

it's square is equal to it's number itself

if A={1,0}

x-y=3-2=1
