If (x+b,b)=(b,y-a) find the value of x and y.

→x+b=b

→x=0

And

→b=y-a

→y=a+b

Given, x=a and y=b.

Given equations, x-y=2( assume it as equation 1)

x+y=4( assume it as equation 2)

Equation 1+2,

x-y=2

x+y=4

2x=6( y gets cancelled as there is a negative y and a positive y implies y-y=0)

x=6/2

x=3

But x=a implies a=3

substitute a in equation 1 (it can be substituted even in equation 2)

x-y=2

3-y=2

y=3-2

y=1

But y=b implies b=1

Therefore, x=3 and y=1
