Answer:it can be even or odd

Step-by-step explanation:

Case 1

If x is odd (let)

•°• x+1 is even

Thus (x+1)x is even

Case 2

If x is even (let)

Then x+1 is

Odd

Thus (x+1)x is even

Hence x(x+1) is even if x is odd or even

Heya mate,

Here is your answer,. ⬇️ ⬇️

 {ANSWER :-}
_________

 <i> As we know, that the general form of even no. is ' 2n', where, n is a whole number.

Now, we have,
=> x(x+1) = 2n
=> x+1 = 2n/x

Now, assuming 2n/x is a whole number, then x must be even because even are only divisible by even numbers.

Thus, x + 1 = 2n [here, n is not definite]
Or, x = 2n - 1.

Clearly, 2n - 1 is an odd number.

➡️ Hence, x will be odd.

THANK YOU

sanvishukla: it can be even or odd as x(x+1) are consequitive numbers. Thus x if x is even or x is odd answer will always be even
