Let

x-y=2 -------> 1

And

x+y=4 -------> 2

Now, by elimination method, we get

1=> x - y = 2

2=> x + y = 4

1-2=> -2y = 4

=> y = -4/2

=> y = -2

Now putting the value of y in equation 2 we get,

2=> x + (-2) = 4

=> x - 2 = 4

=> x = 4 + 2

=> x = 6

Now A/Q we put the values of x and y

2x + 3y

= 2×6 + 3×(-2)

= 12 + (-6)

= 12 - 6

= 6

Therefore, the value of 2x + 3y is 6.
