Given :-

  • If xy = 180 and HCF (x,y)=3

To find :-

  • LCM of (x, y)

Solution :-

  • Product of two numbers (xy) = 180

  • HCF of two numbers (x, y) = 3

As we know that

LCM × HCF = Product of two numbers

→ LCM × HCF = a × b

Where " a " is first number and " b " is second number.

According to the given condition

→ LCM × HCF = Product of two numbers

→ LCM × 3 = 180

→ LCM = 180/3

→ LCM = 60

Hence,

  • LCM of (x, y) is 60

Verification :-

  • LCM × HCF = Product of two numbers

→ 60 × 3 = 180

→ 180 = 180

  • Therefore verified

Answer :-

  • 60

Given :-

  • xy = 180 and HCF (x, y) = 3

To Find :-

  • LCM (x, y)

Solution :-

Here,

  • Product of two numbers = 180
  • HCF of two numbers = 3

As we know that

Product of two numbers = LCM × HCF

Put the values in the formula

According to question :-

LCM × 3 = 180

→ LCM = 180/3

→ LCM = 60

Verification :-

LCM × HCF = product of two numbers

→ 60 × 3 = 180

→ 180 = 180

Hence, verified.
