hi friend,

positive factor of 2^p-1(2^p-1) are 1 and 2^p-1

since 2^p-1 is a prime number

so the roaster form of Y ={1,2^p-1}

I hope this will help u ;)

Answer:

Y in roster form is Y = {2p-1, 1}

Step-by-step explanation:

The given set Y = {x:x is a positive factor of the number \bold{2^{p}-1\left(2^{p}-1\right)}, where 2p - 1 is a prime number}

There are only two positive factors of the number 2^{p}-1\left(2^{p}-1\right)=(2 p-1) and 1

[Since, it is given that 2p – 1 is a prime number.]

Hence, Y in Roster form:

Roster form is a representation of the elements in the set separated by commas.
