If your project completion date slips past the deadline, there are two ways to handle the situation.
- The first is to negotiate a new deadline with your client.
- The second is to ask for help from a team working on a project that's ahead of schedule.

If we are unable meet project on deadline then we do update the client about the delay in meeting the project and at the same time we should update the client with status of our work and ensure the client that he will get a desired quality of work in extended period of time. And at the same time, we should motivate our team to complete the work within deadline and find out the reason for getting the work delayed and necessary improvements to achieve the goal.
