Answers
Answer:
(a) Ans :- The pice of bread that is placed inside a jar will develop mould because these were already present in the surroundings.
(b) Ans :- If the bread is not kept in the bell jar than the fungi will attack and destroy the bread.
(c) Ans :- If the moist bread was placed inside the refrigerator , mould spores would not have germinated. This is because spores need moist and warm conditions to germinate.
(d) Ans :- The spores appears first on the bread because , on the moist bread , the spores germinate first to form the mycelium.
(d) Ans :- The bread mould has a saprophytic mode of nourishment. In saprophytic nutrition, the organisms obtain their food from dead and decaying organic matter of dead plants, dead animals and other decomposing organic matter.
