=> 2k-1/2 × 1/2 = 1/8

=> 2k-1/2 = 1/8 ×2

=> 2k -1 / 2 = 1/4

=> 2k-1 = 1/4×2

=> 2k-1 = 1/2

=> 2k= 1/2+1

=> 2k=3/2

=> k = 3/2 ÷2

=> k = 3/4 ans.
