imagine one cell(A) has undergone mitotic division and cell(B) has completed its meiotic division. How many cells would they two produce?

  • The cell that has undergone mitotic division would produce 2 cells. Whereas the cell that has undergone meiotic division forms 4 cells.  
  • The mitosis and meiosis are cell division mechanisms that happen in our body when one cell divides into its daughter cells. Mitosis is known as cell division that is the daughter cells have same number of chromosomes after their split up. Whereas the meiosis is known as reduction division in which the daughter cells have half the ‘number of chromosomes’ as that of the parent cell.
