This September we are launching a two-month nation-wide communication campaign for environmental protection, ecosystem and biodiversity conservation, and climate change mitigation in Ukraine – the issues included into the UN Sustainable Development Agenda to be implemented by 2030.

The campaign’s goal is drawing attention of Ukrainians to specific environmental issues and raising awareness about the threats posed by biodiversity loss and the climate change effects. This includes precipitation decrease in arid areas that leads to soil deterioration and desertification, and sea level rise that affects the infrastructure in many countries. Climate change also triggers social conflicts and puts the food security at risk.
