Role play between Me and Friendly Ghost:

What a gloomy day it was!

I was not feeling well and was continuously sensing that something was wrong.

Walking past the roads between the farmlands, I heard someone sobbing breathlessly.

I turned back and saw an old man sitting on the tree and I was surprised to see that he had no feet. I was frightened for a moment and started taking back steps in order to flee away. But the old man said something which made me, freeze my footsteps.

Old man (Ghost): Well, now you also run away. Neither will you stay nor do I know you. Once more, it will be me and my solitude. Huh!

Me (in a hesitant way): Uh oh, I am not sure about who you are, either!

Old man (Ghost): I am, what you humans call it, a ghost. A miserable human I was and now a miserable ghost.

Me: Why, why would you say that?

Old Man (Ghost): Because of my horrifying past.

Me: What past? Tell me more about it.

Old man (Ghost): I have a condition, that you will not judge me on my past.

Me: I agreed.

Old man (Ghost): My name is Dr. Mustafa Khan. I was a Cardiologist by profession. Once upon a time there were a heavy riot between Hindus and Muslims where I used to live. I was very vividly biased towards my community, so much so that I forgot about the Humanity being the topmost prioritized community. Suddenly, one of my colleagues, Mr. Govind had an ischemic stroke and I was not unaware of it. But I was so blinded by the Hindu-Muslim concepts that I forgot to choose humanity and my colleague collapsed and died then and there. This is a regret which did not even let me die in peace.

After narrating this incidence, there was a sinister grin on his face.

I was zoned out. Suddenly I recollected my name and without saying anything I started walking forward, pondering over contrast between the narration and his expressions. I, till date have not been able to decide whether was he a friendly ghost or not.
