There is a big impact on the mind of teenagers if they live in a joint family. The adolscent years are the years of rebel, lust, crush, friends over family and so much more.

A son/daughter may fight with their parents but if you have a higher authority in the house, they tend to calm down and put a back foot.

Joint family for teenagers is a good idea where they actually learn to come out of their fold and live together with everyone.
