1. 1915- Mahatma Gandhi returned to India in 1915, and launched his first struggle here in Champaran , Bihar in 2.1916. The strike began from April 1917 to October 1917.
3. 1917- Followed by Peasants  movement in Kheda district of Gujarat and Ahmadabad Mill Strike 
4. 1919- This year is associated with Rowlatt Act  which was passed in 1919, again authorised the British to arrest anyone without a fair trial in the court, aroused much anger and public awakening the act sought to give enormous powers to the British. It is associated with Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. And also with formation of Khilafat committee in Bombay.
5. 1921-  It is assocaited with the Khilafat and Non coopeartion movement, which aimed to paralyze and cripple the British administration and to make them realize that they cannot function without the active support of the Indians. The movement saw new methods of dissent like surrender of titles, Boycott of schools and colleges etc.
6. 1922-  It is assocaited with Chauri Chaura incident where the angry mob had burnt he police station killing 22 policemen. Gandhi soon realized that the movement has taken a violent turn and to prevent the outbreak of further violence he decided to call off the  non cooperation movement.

. 8. 1929-  Lahore session of 1929, Here Jawaharlal Nehru became the President of Congress at the historic Lahore session 1929. Congress passed the resolution of Purna Swaraj  that is Complete Independence.
9. 1930-  Independence day pledge was taken in that year, The famous civil disobedience movement  was launched, resulting in Gandhi's famous Dandi march against the oppressive salt law.
