India’s National Literacy Mission should be implemented in Maharashtra. More missions should be launched in this state to promote literacy. The government should avail scholarships for younger minds to come from the situation of poverty. The people of Maharashtra should be made to realize the importance of education. Awareness campaigns are required to set up so as to change the view of the local people regarding education. Opportunities for educated should be increased.

Explanation:

The lower literacy rates in Maharashtra is due to the poverty and ignorance of the importance of education.

If both of these situations are reduced, there will be a significant increase in literacy rate.
