In 2011, the number of transplants in the United States was 26,745, and the number of donors was 14,146. What is most likely the reason that there were more transplants than donors?

The most likely reason is having a gift of multiple organs

but the bigger gift of humanity is donating multiple organs.

we can find that not everyone is fit for donating blood. If a person has diabetes etc he cannot donate his blood.
But in the case of transplants any organ (in fair condition) with a matching blood group of the receiver can be used.

There are more blood deceases that organ diseases.

Hope this helps you. PLEASE MARK AS THE BRAILIEST ANSWER.
