Step-by-step explanation:

"The answer is 8. You can take the greatest common factor (or whatever it's called), which in this case is 8, and divide each of the quantities of fruit by that number and that's how many go in each basket. So 16/8 = 2, 24/8 = 3, 32/8 = 4, so each of the quantities of the respective fruit go into each basket. It's suffice to know that the GCF is the answer but it's good to logic your way through the problem and make sure that the result makes intuitive sense."

the \: no. \:of \: pineapple \: = \frac{1}{5} \times 120 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 24 \: pineapples \\ the \: no. \: of \: \: apples = \frac{1}{4} \times 120 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 30 \ apples \\ the \: no.of \: oranges = \frac{1}{2} \times 120 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 60 \: oranges \\ the \: no . \: bananas \: be \: x \\ \\ 24 + 30 + 60 + x = 120 \\ 114 + x = 120 \\ x = 120 - 114 \\ x = 6 \\ so \: no. \: of \: bananas \: is \: 6
