The solution will turn white from blue because Magnesium, being higher in the metal reactivity series, is more reactive than copper, so it displaces copper from its salt solution.
The reaction is
CuSO4 + Mg --------> MgSO4 + Cu
CuSO4 solution which was blue will turn colourless due to formation of MgSO4.
