It is right to be honest and not to lie every time. But it is also said that straight trees are cut first, and honest people are screwed first.

Is it right not to speak the truth?
It's a relative question. We try to speak truth as much as possible because truth is permanent and lie is temporary. Thts why This is right to speak truth if it is possible.
But there are some circumstances where you may tell lie but for the certain period. When there is good intention and this is not the correct time to unveil the truth then you should keep it secret till the desire time came.
Always speak truth, however it may create some problems or it might hurt other's sentiments but for a short period and You will be proud of yourself.
