As AB and BC are equal that means their distance from center is gonna be equal.
Draw a circle with equal and BC and prove them parallel by joining the radius and then show alternate interior angles are equal.
Now because they are parallel the diatance between them is always equal.
So,
Construst paradiculars on that chord from center and py pythagoras theorem show that the distance of one chord is 4cm from the center therefore the distance between those chords is 8cm.
Now as the line is parallel the distance is going to be same between them.
