The area of sector formed is 51.33 sq cm

Solution:

The area of sector when central angle measured in degrees is:

Area\ of\ sector = \frac{ \theta}{360} \times \pi r^2

Where,

"r" is the radius

\theta is the central angle in degrees

From given,

r = 7 cm

\theta = 120^{\circ}

Substituting we get,

Area\ of\ sector = \frac{120}{360} \times \frac{22}{7} \times 7^2\\\\Area\ of\ sector = \frac{120}{360} \times 154\\\\Area\ of\ sector = 51.33

Thus area of sector formed is 51.33 sq cm
