Answer:

if 83 students are considered as  100%

then the no.of absentes are 83-72=11

Now find what is 11 for 100%

i.e. 83/100 X 11 = 9.13

Therefore 9.13% of students are absent

TOTAL STUDENTS = 83

NUMBER OF TRESENT STUDENTS = 72

ABSENT STUDENTS = TOTAL STUDENTS - PRESENT STUDENTS

= 83-72

= 11

SO, NUMBER OF ABSENT STUDENTS= 11

PERCENTAGE OF ABSENT STUDENTS = (ABSENT STUDENTS / TOTAL STUDENTS ) x 100

= 11/83 x 100

13.25 % APPROX

13.25%(Answer upto 2 decimal digits)

Step-by-step explanation:

No.of students absent=83-72

=11

Percent of students absent=Students absent×100/Total Student

=11×100/83

=13.25%
