Children in the class is 36.
Out of 36 1/4 are sick that is 36×1/4= 36/4 = 9
And 1/3 are out of an exhibition that is 36×1/3= 36/3= 12
So the total children remaining in the class = 36-(9+12) = 36-21 = 15

The number of children left is 15.

Given - Number of childern and fraction of them sick and in exhibition

Find - Number of children left.

Solution - Number of children sick = \frac{1}{4} \times 36

Performing multiplication and division

Number of sick children = 9

Number of children out on exhibition = \frac{1}{3} \times 36

Performing multiplication and division

Number of children out on exhibition = 12

Number of excluded children = 9 + 12

Number of excluded children = 21

Number of children left = 36 - 21

Number of children left = 15

Hence, there are 15 children left.
