in a class ,there are 49 students .If the number of girls is 2/5 of the number of boys, find the number of bys in the clss

Let no. of girls = x
Let no. of boys = y
x = 2/5

x+y = 49
2/5 + y = 49
y = 49 - 2/5
Taking l.c.m
y = 245/5 - 2/5
y = 243/5
