In a mixture of 550 ml, the ratio of milk to water is 5 : 6. What is the quantity
of water in the mixture ​

Answer:

Let the quantity of water be 6x

and that of milk be 5x

now,

5x+6x = 550

11x = 550

x = 550/11

x = 50

now,

quantity of water = 6x = 6*50 = 300ml

and that of milk will be = 5x = 5*50 = 250ml
