in a mixture the ratio of milk and water is 3:2.If milk is 5l more than water then find the quantity of milk ?

Quantity of
Milk = x
Water = y

According to question
x / y = 3 / 2
x = 3y/2
x = 1.5y ………(1)

Also given that,
x = y + 5
1.5y = y + 5 ………[∵ from (1)]
0.5y = 5
y = 10

If y = 10 then x = 15 (from (1))

∴ Quantity of milk = 15 litres
