triangle DEF the actual ship.

∆ ABC similar ∆ DEF

.: AB/DE=BC/EF=AC/DF

AB=height of mask flagstuff of model ship=6cm

DE=height of mask flagstuff of actual ship=900cm

BC=length of model ship =xcm

EF=length of actual ship=3300cm

AB/DE=BC/EF

6/900=x/3300

x=6×3300/900

x=22cm
