GIVEN : A's capital = 4,000   ; A's share in profit = 200; B's shre in profit = 100 ; Total Profit = 800

TO FIND : B's share in profit

SOLUTION :

As the total profit of the firm is given i.e 800

Total Profit = 800

A + B + C = 800

200 + B + 100 = 800

300 + B = 800

B = 800 - 300

B = 500

B's share in profit is 500.

As when A and B share in profit is given and total profit is also given we can find out B share in profit by substrating from the total profit.

B's share in profit is rupees 500.
