In a solid cube made up of 27 small cubes,two opposite sides are painted red,two opposite sides yellow and two other sides white.How many small cubes have the colours yellow and white alone in them?

Four cubes have colours yellow and white alone in them.

Geometrical figure = Cube (Given)

Total number of small cubes = 27 (Given)

Total colours = 3 = Red, Yellow and White (Given)

Thus,

According to the given question, -  

The cubes of the middle row will have no red colour = Total 9 cubes

Also, the central cube will have no colour.

Therefore,

Out of 8 cubes, 4 cubes have either the yellow or white colour.
