In a square all sides are equal.

Let the side = s

Diagonal of square =√ s² + s²

Diagonal of square = s√2

Ratio of side to Diagonal = side: Diagonal

s: s√2 = 1:√2

Hence, the Ratio of side to Diagonal of square = 1:√2
