In a survey, 40% can speak English, 50% can speak Hindi and 12% speak both. What % of them can't speak any of these languages?

Both = 12% (given)


Find the percentage of people that can speak at least one language:

40 + 50 - 12 = 78%


Find the percentage of people who can't speak any of these 2 languages:

100 - 78 = 22%


Answer: 22% of the people surveyed can't speak both the languages.
