Answer:

Length of 1st parallel side=18 cm

Height = 10 cm

Area of trapezium =1/2 (a+b)×h

300=1/2 (18+b)×10

300/10=1/2 (18+b)

30=1/2 (18+b)

30×2=(18+b)

60=(18+b)

60-18=b

42=b

b=42cm

So,2nd parallel side is equal to 42cm

Answer:

42 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

One parallel side = 18cm

Distance between the parallel sides = 10cm

Area = 300sq. cm

Other parallel side = x

According to formula of area of parallelogram,

300 = 1/2 * 10 * ( 18 + x )

300 = 5 * ( 18 + x )

60 = 18 + x

or, x = 42
