To Find :-

find the length of AE and EC

Solution :-

since,abc & ade are similar triangles...

Therefore,

ab/ad=ac/ae

(ad+bd)/ad=ac/ae. .....(1)

now, putting values of ad,bd & ac in (1)

=> {(5+7)/5}={18/AE}

=> AE=(18x5)/12

i.e;

AE=7.5

EC=7.5
