given info : In a YDSE, distance between the slits is 2mm. The distance between slits and screen is 1m and wavelength of light used is 5000 A°.

To find : the fringe width.

Solution : using formula,

Fringe width, ω = λD/d

= (5000 A° × 1m)/(2 mm)

= (5 × 10^-7 × 1)/(2 × 10^-3) m

= 2.5 × 10¯⁴ m

Therefore the fringe width of fringes formed by Young's double slit experiment is 2.5 × 10¯⁴ m
