because each time the circuit opens and closes means it is all due to electromagnetism I.e. when current is passed the iron core becomes electromagnet and repels due to which the circuit is broken which acts as a obstruction in the path of current

Explanation:
1) The Magnetic field of the electromagnet collapses and the clapper springs away from the bell.
2) This closes the contact again, allowing the current to flow to the electromagnet again so the magnet pull's the clapper over to strick the bell again.
