In an electrolysis of water why the amount pf gas collected in one test tube is double the amount of gas in another test tube

In electrolysis process the amount of one gas is double than the other one .... This is because hydrogen and oxygen gas are fixed in a ratio of 2:1 .. Which means that the hydrogen atoms are twice of oxygen atoms...
