What is the number of 5 rupee & 10 rupee notes ?

So , here we go

\Large{\underline{\underline{\bf{SoLuTion:-}}}}

❥ Let x be the number of notes of Rs. 5 .

❥ Let y be the number of notes of Rs. 10.

Now ,

❥ As per the Question

↠ 5x + 10y = 350

↠ x + 2y = 70 ......... 1 eqn

And ,

↠x = y - 10

↠ x - y = -10 .......... 2 eqn

Now ,

Subtracting Equation (2) from (1)

↠ (x - y) - (x + 2y) = 70 -10

↠ 0 - 3y = 60

↠ 3y = 60

↠ y = 20

Now , Putting it in Equation (1) we get,

↠ x + 2y = 70

↠ x + 2(20) = 70

↠ x + 40 = 70

↠ x = 70 - 40

↠ x = 30

\mathfrak{\huge{\purple{\underline{\underline{Hence}}}}}

❥ The number of Rs. 5 notes are 30 .

❥ The number of Rs. 10 notes are 20.
